The 6-language electricity glossary

Divided in 6 sub-topics, this 6-language glossary has been built by the students to help them (and their teachers ;-) to communicate on technical subjects. In addition to each language of the 5 implied countries, this glossary naturally contains the English language which was the communication language along the project.

Sub-topic 1: Prevention of electrical hazards

Sub-topic 2: Electrical tools

Sub-topic 3: Home electrical installations

Sub-topic 4: Measuring devices

Sub-topic 5: Production of electrical energy

Sub-topic 6: Electricity occupations

The GEQ - Giant EuroMELEC Quiz

Divided in teams, students are asked to answer the electrotechnics question… The better they answer, the more points they get…

The harder the question is, the better the score is… with questions giving from 10 to 100 points!!

Knowledge, strategy and fun are the main components of the game :-)

You can download here (or by clicking on the picture on the left) the 80 questions/cards of the game. Enjoy and have fun :-)

The Festi' PicArts 22

Along the project, the French team has worked with the organizing team of a national music festival to create electrical boxes in order to supply some of the festival installations. This cooperation project has been an opportunity to develop activities in the framework of the EuroMELEC project.

The voltage drop calculation

Supplying electrical installation with long distances between the supply point and the installation itself means voltage drop. In this field, standards (national or European) must be respected. That was the idea of this activity.

Preparing the socket boxes

Before the on-site commissioning of the socket boxes, students had to prepare it and test it.

This activity has been carried out by the French students only.

Commissioning of electrical boxes

In July 2022, in the framework of the Festi PicArts festival, French students and teachers have gone on-site to put into operation the built socket boxes. A lot of tests had to be done to validate the good operation of the boxes.
